Setting up Access to YouTube Kids

For children under 13, YouTube Kids offers a safer viewing experience.

1. Download the app → Launch and tap "I'M A PARENT".
2. Follow prompts to:
   
   1. Verify your age
   2. Sign in with your Google account
   3. Select/create a child's profile

Creating a New Profile

1. From the profile screen, tap the + symbol.
2. Sign in with your Google Account password.
3. Enter your child's details → Let them pick an avatar → Tap >.
4. Select age-appropriate content settings (Preschool, Younger, or Older) → Tap > to finish.

Setting up a Passcode

1. From the profile screen, select the profile → Tap the lock icon (bottom-right corner).
2. Solve the math question → Tap "SUBMIT".
3. Create a 4-digit passcode (required for future setting changes).

Managing Screen Time

1. Select the profile → Tap the lock icon (bottom-right corner).
2. Enter your passcode → Tap the Timer icon.
3. Set minutes → Click Start timer → Exit settings.

Other Account Settings

Adjust search, age filters, and more:

1. From any profile's home screen, tap the lock icon (bottom-right corner).
2. Select Settings → Choose a profile → Enter password.
3. Edit options:
   
   1. Toggle Search on/off
      
   2. Update content age settings
      
   3. Clear history to reset recommendations
4. Tap the back arrow (top-left) to exit.
