Blocking Tags

Prevent inappropriate or triggering content from appearing in recommendations.

1. On the home screen, tap the icon next to your profile (top-right corner).
2. Under Blocked Tags, tap the text field.
3. Type tags to block (e.g., self-harm). Select suggestions or enter manually.
   Note: Use one-word tags (spaces create separate tags).
4. Tap 'SAVE'.

Managing Content Preferences

For users 13+ (mature content is tagged for 18+).

1. Tap the icon next to your profile (top-right corner).
2. Toggle Include Mature to grey (excludes mature content from recommendations).

Note: Mature content can still be searched via tags.

Reporting Users

Report violations of Wattpad’s Code of Conduct (e.g., hate speech, unmarked explicit content).

1. Go to the user’s profile (tap their username on any story).
2. Tap the 3 dots (top-right corner) → Report.
3. Select a reason → Add details → Tap REPORT.

Muting Users

Block interactions (messages, comments, follows).

1. Navigate to the user’s profile.
2. Tap the 3 dots → Mute → Confirm.

Managing Communication Between Users

Flag content violating guidelines (e.g., self-harm, incorrect tagging).

1. On the story’s homepage, tap the 3 dots (top-right corner).
2. Select Report → Choose reasons → Explain → Tap REPORT.

Managing Content Restrictions

Requires desktop browser.

1. Login at Wattpad.com.
2. Click your username → Settings.
3. Under your profile picture, select Close Account.
4. Provide a reason → Follow confirmation steps.
