
Parental controls guide
1. Sign into PSN
a. Go to www.playstation.com if you need to create a parental/master PlayStation Network account. Click on “Join Today” and follow the steps, or if you already have an account, click on “Sign in to PSN”.
2. Go to "Account Settings"
a. Once signed in, click on the link to “Account Settings”. You will then need to confirm your login details.
3. Select the "Family Management" tab
a. Next, click on “Family Management”. Select “OK” to confirm and proceed.
4. Confirm your account details
a. You will be asked to confirm your account details again. Click “Continue” to move forward.
5. Click on "Add Family Member"
a. Choose the option to “Add Family Member”. Then click “OK”.
6. Fill out the details for your child
a. Provide your child’s personal information, such as their birthday, which helps determine the appropriate age settings. You can use their email address or your own. A username and password will be generated on this page. When finished, click “I Agree. Continue”.
7. Access your email account
a. Open the email account linked to your parental/master account and click the verification link sent by PlayStation to confirm the creation of the sub-account.
8. Set Parental Controls
a. You can now customise the parental controls. Choose whether to allow your child to “Communicate with Other Players”, “View Content Created by Other Players”, and set a “Monthly Spending Limit”. Once done, click “Consent” and then “Continue”.
9. You have now created an account for your child
a. Your child can now log into PlayStation devices using this account.
