Our Tech Give Away Days are one of the most direct and impactful ways we connect surplus technology with the children, young adults, and families who need it most. These events turn the generosity of our donors into life-changing opportunities for people in deprived communities, ensuring that everyone – regardless of income – has access to the tools they need to learn, communicate, and thrive in today’s digital world.
Our charity works in close partnership with our sister CIC, Everyone Digital, to collect, professionally refurbish, and prepare donated devices for redistribution. Using certified and accredited wiping software, we ensure that all previous data is completely erased, meeting the highest standards of security and compliance. Our trained and experienced staff manage every stage – from secure collection and data sanitisation to testing, cleaning, and refurbishment – so business donors can trust their contributions are handled with absolute professionalism.
On the day of the event, recipients are invited to collect their free device, along with free accessories such as mice, keyboards, or bags (subject to availability). We also provide setup assistance, printed guides, and access to our Safe and Smart Online resources so that recipients can get connected confidently and safely.
Too many families are still excluded from education, employment, and social participation simply because they lack access to a working computer or mobile device. While digital poverty is a year-round issue, our Tech Give Away Days make a powerful statement – no one should be left behind. By hosting dedicated community events, we can put devices directly into the hands of those who need them most, backed by practical support and advice on staying safe online.
