Every Child Online an Essex based children’s charity has announced its selection as the newest charity partner for Bett UK 2025, the world’s leading event for educational technology, taking place from 22-24 January 2025 at ExCeL London.
This partnership highlights both organisations commitment to bridging the digital divide and providing underprivileged children and young adults with the technology and digital education they need to thrive in today’s world. To date, the charity has distributed over 20,000 refurbished devices to schools, charities, and social service partners, significantly impacting the lives of young learners across London, Essex and other home counties.
“At Bett, we believe every child deserves the very best education, and that starts with bridging the digital divide. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Every Child Online, supporting their vital mission to ensure no learner is left behind,” said Duncan Verry, Portfolio Director at Bett. “Together, we’re empowering teachers to harness technology and transform education for all.”
Every Child Online works closely with UK businesses to repurpose surplus devices, advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals while supporting sustainability initiatives. The charity also provides secure and accredited IT asset disposal services, creating positive outcomes for both businesses and the wider community. Alongside its commitment to digital inclusion, Every Child Online prioritises the safety of device recipients through its “Safe and Smart Online” programme. This initiative equips young users with essential skills to navigate the digital world safely, protecting them from cybercriminals and online threats.
“Being named the charity sponsor for Bett UK 2025 is a tremendous honour and a pivotal moment for Every Child Online,” said Mike Tarbard, Co-Founder and CEO of Every Child Online. “This partnership amplifies our mission to eradicate digital exclusion and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed in the digital age. Together with Bett, we can inspire attendees to make a lasting difference by contributing to a future where no learner is left behind.”
Call to Action: Pass IT On Campaign
Every Child Online is also announcing the “Pass IT On at Bett UK” campaign 2025, inviting attendees and exhibitors to bring surplus IT equipment from home to the show. The charity will securely wipe all donated devices free of charge using accredited software and refurbish them to benefit children and young adults in need.
“We’re calling on the incredible community of educators and innovators at Bett to join us in making a difference,” added Tarbard. “Your unused devices could transform a child’s education, their confidence, and their future. Let’s work together to close the digital divide
