Barons Court Primary School and Nursery grew from an Infant School to a Primary School in 2010, seeing its first-year sixes through at the end of the academic year 2013-2014.
Barons Court is based on the educational philosophy of Regio Emillio, which was developed in Italy following World War II. This philosophy encompasses the values in which Barons Court has been developed upon: respect and responsibility, enriched environments which are created and developed in partnership with our children, community (the school working as a community and the school reaching out to the wider community) and a creative curriculum that is planned alongside the children to foster their education. Independence and child-centred learning is an integral element to school life, whether it be educationally, physically or emotionally.
The school’s building which was developed in partnership with the children, parents, staff and all stakeholders ensures that it meets the needs of their pupils and enhances their learning experiences and values. The children are taught in large open-plan learning spaces, which allow year groups to work and grow together – developing a strong sense of community. These spaces promote opportunities to teach in flexible groupings meeting the needs of all of our pupils along with our staff.
Barons Court Primary School is located in central. Like many modern schools, pupils are often provided with homework that requires the use of a computer to ensure the technological skills they need in the modern world. With your support, every child can have access to online learning; all you have to do is donate your old unused computers or raise or donate funding to ECO. We can then ensure Barons Court Primary is provided with the equipment they need to ensure the technological skills they need in the modern world.
